While eating seafood at a ballpark might be otherwise suspect, it’s possible to get the best crab of your life while watching a pro baseball game. Could anything be better?

The concession stand to make sure you visit is called Bo Brooks Crab Shack, which is located at the end of the first base concourse. You’ll probably be able to detect it through a combination of the heavenly smells emanating from the area and the crowd of people waiting in line. Bo Brooks is a crab house in Baltimore that bills itself as the city’s best but also brings select items off its menu to Leidos Field at Ripken Stadium.

The menu at Bo Brooks Crab Shack is simple, offering a crab cake sandwich, steamed shrimp, shrimp salad, tuna fish sandwich, crab pretzel and crab soup. Stick with the crab products; the crab cake sandwich comes on a bun with tomato and lettuce and the crab cake is very large. The crab soup is spicy and the crab pretzel comes with crab dip and melted cheese. The crown jewel to this menu, though, are the steamed crabs, which are Bo Brooks’ specialty. You can buy them by the dozen or even by the bushel. When you buy a meal’s worth of steamed crabs, you can take them to any of the paper-covered tables, dump them out, cover the crabs with Old Bay seasoning and go to town. Bo Brooks provides even wooden mallets to help you break open the crab shells.

If you want to stay away from the seafood, Ripken Stadium has the usual ballpark lineup of hot dogs, pizza, nachos and chicken fingers. For those with a sweet tooth, deep-fried Oreos are also on the menu.
