Where to Park at Dutchess Stadium

There is plenty of affordable parking surrounding Heritage Financial Park.

Parking at Dutchess Stadium is spacious, but the cost of $5 per vehicle is notably high in the New York-Penn League. (By way of contrast, teams including Aberdeen, Auburn and Tri-City don’t charge you a nickel to park.) In urban areas, it’s easy to understand the need to charge a few bucks for parking, but given that the entire Dutchess Stadium complex is carved out of a forested area, it’s hard not to cringe when you fork over your $5 bill. Because of the relative isolation of The Dutch, it’s not practical to leave your car elsewhere and walk to the game, either. There’s a small retail complex with some eateries roughly across Route 9D from the ballpark, but it’s always risky to leave your car in a business’ parking lot for several hours. In other words, you don’t have much of a choice but to pay the $5.

Fishkill’s location makes visiting Dutchess Stadium to check out the Renegades practical during any baseball road trip targeting New York State. The Yankees and Mets are less than 75 miles to the south, and a handful of International League, Eastern League and New York-Penn League clubs are only a couple hours’ drive from The Dutch.
