- Nearby parking costs a maximum of $3
- Park is easy and quick to access off highway
Appalachian Power Park is located within sight of I-64/I-77, and getting off the highway puts you just a couple blocks from the ballpark. Getting back on the road after the game is also a breeze; the ramp to access the highway runs directly past the ballpark’s third base side.
Parking around the ballpark is plentiful and won’t break the bank. Your closest choices are the multi-level garage that runs along Lewis Street between Brooks Street and Morris Street or the lots around the Plaza East Shopping Center, which is across Morris Street from the ballpark. You shouldn’t have to pay more than about $3 to park in these spots for the game, and regardless of where you park, you’re just a few steps from the ballpark’s gates.
If you’re visiting Appalachian Power Park from out of town, your best bet for accommodations is the Wingate by Windham Charleston, which is less than 10 minutes from the ballpark. This hotel is easy to find off the highway and features modern, spacious rooms and suites, a fitness center, hot tub and free Internet access. If you enjoy swimming, you can make a quick trip across the parking lot to enjoy the pool at the Wingate’s sister hotel, the Holiday Inn & Suites Charleston West. The sister hotel also houses the Mose Café & Grill, which is open for breakfast and dinner. Additional dining and several shopping options are just a few minutes’ drive away.
