Nymeo Field at Harry Grove Stadium has been the home of the Frederick Keys since 1990. The Keys, which came to town for the 1989 season, played at historic McCurdy Field during 1989 while awaiting construction of their new stadium. Nymeo Field at Harry Grove Stadium has an official capacity of 5,500 with seats spread across one lower bowl and a suite level up top. The stadium’s concourse is open from one end to another, and one of the park’s signature sights is the fully functional merry-go-round in the right field corner, similar to Bowie’s Prince George’s Stadium.

Despite the fact that Nymeo Field at Harry Grove Stadium is more than 20 years old, the park certainly doesn’t look it. Beginning in 2007, the team began an extensive renovation project that brought a number of modern-day features to the ballpark. New lights, seats and improvements to the field and suite level were the early stages of the renovation project. Two years later, the team added new, LED scoreboard and video board in right field and left field, respectively. Finally, significant work went into making Nymeo Field at Harry Grove Stadium more accessible for fans with disabilities. When you walk down the concourse, you can’t help but notice the large, clearly marked handicapped sections.

The ballpark’s dimensions are 325 feet to left field, 400 feet to center field and 325 feet to right field. The park’s namesake, Harry Grove, was a local resident who helped found the Frederick Hustlers baseball team in 1915. Grove’s family also donated $250,000 toward the construction of the stadium.
